Ozark Sports Zone is an award-winning website that features news and sports from across the area. It has been named Missouri Broadcasters Association’s Best Local Website six times in a row. The site has weekly features featuring the region’s athletes and events. Each week, Ozark Sports Zone highlights athletes from each school and names them as Athletes of the Week.
You can also listen to coverage of high school football on Ozarks CW at 1100. This is a great way to catch all the action as the teams prepare for Week 7 of the high school football season. You can even purchase a jersey to represent past and present players. The channel also has coverage of Friday night football.
There are several facilities available for sports enthusiasts, including the Plaster Sports Complex, which is home to the Missouri State Bears football team. This stadium also features 12 handball/racquetball courts. Other amenities include the Oak Grove Park and Community Center, which includes a nine-hole disc golf course, restrooms, and playground equipment. In addition, the Ozark Community Center offers two basketball courts.
The Ozark Sports Zone also has coverage of Week 5 high school football games, and features a team comprised of the top 44 players from the Ozarks. The team has a veteran crew and seven starters returning from a 19-win season. The team will play its home opener against UNI on Sep. 9.
