Once you’ve signed up, you can pick up your fired pieces on the studio shelves.
The Fire Arts Arcata is home to several thriving artist members. These artists generously share their technical knowledge and encourage students to join the fire arts community. There are year-round classes for all levels, as well as workshops on specialized techniques. The center is funded largely by studio memberships, sales at the gallery, and donations from patrons. For more information, check out the website: fireartsarcata.org.
While a collaborative and supportive environment is essential for the success of a nonprofit arts organization, the Fire Arts Center strives to serve as a learning center as well. New classes are always welcome, and suggestions for new classes are encouraged. The organization has been active in numerous community projects, including Open Studios, the North County Fair, Oyster Festival, and the Fourth of July Jubilee. It also participates in a variety of community events, including Godwit Days.
